Dee McGinnist, Region XVI Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week (Jan. 30 - Feb 5)
Dee McGinnist had double figure points in all three of the Lady Vikings games last week. In a 73-62 home loss to Three Rivers, she scored 15 points on 6-9 shooting, 1-2 on 3's, and 2-7 on FT's, in 27 minutes. In the road win vs. Missouri Baptist JV, she had 12 points, also going 6-9 from the field, and grabbed 9 rebounds in 17 minutes. McGinnist topped the week off with 14 points, 3 assists and 4 rebounds in a 70-68 win at Iowa Western, logging 27 minutes. For the week Dee averaged 13.67 ppg, 6.3 rpg, and shot 64% from the field (18-28), including 1-3 from outside the arc. McGinnist also added 3 assists and 5 steals while averaging 23.67 minutes of court time.
NJCAA Women's Basketball Players of the Week (Dec. 19 - Jan. 1)

Dominique Jennings, a 6-foot sophomore post for the Lady Vikings, scored 12 points and had 2 rebounds in a 68-48 win over Malcolm X College in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Holiday Classic at Mineral Area College, and topped off the classic with a bust out 28 point 12 rebound performance against Northwest Mississippi CC, in a 99-87 victory. For the week, Jennings averaged 19 ppg, 7 rpg, shot 82% from the field (18-22), 100% on FT's (2-2), had 4 assists and 2 steals in 27 minutes per game.
Janaye Randle, Region XVI Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week (November 7-13).
Janaye Randle has been named Region XVI Women's Division I Basketball Player of the Week (November 7-13). The Lady Vikings, now 4 and 0 for the season, posted two wins last week and Randle was key in both. Janaye, a 6'1" Sophomore Forward, averaged 17 points and 8 rebounds per contest while shooting a blistering 84.2% from the field (16/19). In limited minutes due to foul trouble, Janaye made the most of her opportunities in a home win over Rend Lake College, recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals in only 18 minutes of action. In the road win over Southeastern CC (IA), Randle played 26 minutes and scored 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had 4 steals. Janaye was also the Leader Publications Athlete of the Week (November 13, 2016).
