Vikings Shut-Out Heartland, 2-0 (9-10-12)

The Vikings played a strong team game and enjoyed control of the ball for the better part of the game in shutting down a strong Heartland squad 2 - 0.  After pressing the visitors and threatening to go ahead in the early part of the game, Josh Ward opened the scoring late in the half from a corner kick.

Lance Kohler closed out the scoring in the second half on an assist from Oscar Ortiz who wove his way through the defense to pick out Lance in front of the goal.  Keepers Josh Richter and Zeke Sevick combined their efforts to protect the shutout.
Coach Garza was able to utilize all his players for a truly team focused victory.
