Jefferson College Athletics is a member of the NJCAA and abides by all eligibility rules and scholarship regulations established by the NJCAA, Jefferson College Athletic Department, Jefferson College Board of Trustees/Administrative policies and procedures manuals, Jefferson College catalog and all handbooks for Jefferson College students and student-athletes.

The following are the most fundamental requirements for athletic eligibility and athletic scholarship at Jefferson College:
 Student-athletes must be a high school graduate or must have received a high school equivalency diploma or pass a national test such as the GED.
 Student-athletes must be full time students taking 12 or more hours per semester.
 A first semester student-athlete must pass 12 semester hours with a 1.75 GPA or higher.
 Renewal of an athletic scholarship at Jefferson College requires a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA.
 Second season participants must pass 24 credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher.
