Electronics Opportunities

Electrical Technicians have excellent opportunities for advancement.  After earning an Electronics Technology Certificate, graduates can earn jobs as entry level electronics technicians, electronics equipment installers, and maintenance technicians.

Electrical Technicians who continue their education obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Technology and the opportunity to advance into positions such as industrial electricians, industrial robotics technicians, electrical engineering technicians, and electrical service technicians.

Those interested in health care can apply their Electronics Technology Certificate toward an Associate of Applied Science degree in Bio-medical Electronics Technology and obtain technical positions that support modern health care, including bio-medical equipment technicians, and medical equipment repairers.

Students that wish to continue their education beyond Jefferson College can earn a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Missouri Baptist University. General education courses taken within the Electronics Technology degree plan may transfer to other institutions as well. These technicians are given managerial responsibilities working as service managers, production managers, and project managers.
